Our client is currently seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join their dynamic legal team on a contract basis in Dallas, Texas. Paralegal Role:
- Provide crucial clerical, research, and trial preparation support to attorneys
- Conduct meetings with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases and projects
- Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories
- Research and analyze statutes, regulations, judicial decisions, and legal sources
- Interview clients and witnesses, preparing summaries of statements
- Organize and maintain case files, including evidence, exhibits, depositions, and pleadings
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, potentially attending trials and hearings
- Track and maintain records of billable hours
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Paralegal Background Profile:
- Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Paralegal certificate required
- Related legal experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and research skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
