Our client is seeking a Controller for a full-time, direct hire opportunity based in the Addison Texas. This is an exciting chance to join a growing organization and take ownership of the companyâs accounting and financial operations.

Controller Role
As the Controller, you will lead the accounting function and oversee all financial activities of the company. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Controller will supervise accounting and HR functions, manage financial reporting, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making and implement best practices to improve efficiency
Oversee all aspects of accounting and HR, including payroll, benefits, AP/AR, billing, financial statements, cost accounting, budgeting, and tax compliance
Supervise and mentor the accounting/HR team to meet department goals
Maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and documentation systems
Monitor cash flow, account balances, and ensure timely payments
Prepare financial statements, quarterly/annual reports, and ad-hoc financial analysis
Advise management on financial strategy, capital investments, pricing, contracts, and benchmarks
Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal, state, and local regulations
Assist with corporate risk assessment and strengthen internal controls
Controller Background Profile
Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
7â10 years of progressive accounting experience; CPA or CMA preferred but not required
Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, cost accounting, and financial analysis
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with system implementations is a plus
Proven leadership and supervisory experience, with ability to mentor a team
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
