What You'll Do as a Tax Director:
- Manage and oversee the Practice Area focusing on High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) and Partnerships, engaging closely with clients
- Lead 3-5 large engagements for high-profile clients, ensuring their tax planning, preparation, and advisory needs are met
- Delegate or oversee workload for 15-20 smaller engagements to Managers and Seniors, while being the main point of contact for certain clients
- Act as the primary contact for any complex audit issues during State or Federal audits
- Review the work of Tax Managers and Tax Seniors within the same practice area
- Mentor and support the development of junior staff
- Conduct performance reviews for Seniors and Managers in the practice area
- Collaborate closely with Shareholders and other Practice Area Directors on specific projects related to the firm's business needs
The Ideal Tax Director Profile:
- Must have a valid CPA license or J.D., L.L.M in lieu of CPA
- Minimum of 10+ years of tax experience, with at least 5 years in public accounting
- Ability to handle multiple client engagements and manage staff effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with HNWI and Partnerships in industries like Oil & Gas, Energy, Manufacturing, Real Estate, and Financial Services preferred
