Controller Role:
The Controller will oversee all aspects of accounting and financial operations while leading strategic initiatives to support organizational growth and efficiency.
Strategic and Cross-Functional Finance Initiatives
Collaborate with senior leadership to design, implement, and monitor financial operations and systems
Act as a liaison across departments to communicate updates and lead the implementation of new finance initiatives
Manage special projects and organizational initiatives, balancing risks, timelines, and deliverables
Analyze key operational and financial metrics to support strategic decision-making.
Deliver monthly reporting packages and highlight areas for improvement to enhance performance
Financial Planning & Analysis
Prepare monthly and ad-hoc financial reports for the executive team
Manage budgets for assigned business units, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company goals
Prepare financial forecasts and company-wide forecast summaries
Corporate Accounting
Support the commission and bonus process, ensuring calculations and payouts are accurate
Assist in federal and state tax preparation and payments in collaboration with tax partners
Oversee the proper filing of all tax-related documentation
Manage business compliance and maintain active business registrations
Coordinate and respond to internal and external audit requests as needed
M&A, Insurance & Systems Oversight
Manage finance-related duties for mergers and acquisitions
Oversee the company’s business insurance plans and renewals
Supervise expense management functions, including Concur system administration
Recommend and lead improvements to accounting systems and operational processes
Maintain updated process and procedure documentation for audit and training purposes
General Ledger (GL) Accounting & Close Process
Ensure timely and accurate distribution of monthly financials
Lead continuous improvements to the month-end close process
Oversee day-to-day accounting functions to ensure operational integrity
Approve account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies efficiently
Analyze financial reports pre- and post-close to identify significant changes, trends, and risks
Coordinate and manage intercompany transactions across business entities

Controller Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required; CPA designation strongly preferred
7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, demonstrating increasing responsibility
Minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity, with a track record of managing teams and driving performance
Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 standards, with demonstrated application in real-world scenarios
Proven experience managing M&A transactions, including pre- and post-acquisition balance sheet preparation, net working capital analysis, and earnout structuring
Advanced Excel proficiency, with the ability to build sophisticated models and leverage complex formulas
Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret and analyze P&L statements and balance sheets to inform strategic decisions
Well-versed in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including forecasting, budgeting, and executive-level reporting
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Highly organized, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Proactive and detail-oriented with a strong sense of initiative and accountability
Hands-on and collaborative mindset; comfortable stepping in at both strategic and tactical levels
Prior experience with NetSuite is highly desirable
Familiarity with tools such as Procurify, Concur, and FP&A platforms is a strong advantage
