Export Control Analyst
Our client located in Houston, TX has an immediate need for a Export Control Analyst on a direct-hire basis.

Export Control Analyst Role:
You'll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to monitor, review, and support activities related to controlled exports.
Help safeguard sensitive technologies while enabling compliant collaboration across projects tied to national and international initiatives.
Review and assess outbound shipments and technical data transfers for alignment with U.S. regulations related to international trade.
Provide recommendations on how to classify items and technologies for export under applicable frameworks.
Support the preparation and evaluation of required documentation, including approval packages for license applications, exemptions, and exceptions.
Maintain oversight of authorization usageâtracking license conditions and reporting usage to program authorities when needed.
Serve as a resource to internal program managers and export control representatives by offering clear, timely guidance on export compliance matters.
Develop and deliver training sessions and materials on compliance-related topics, including export control policies, IT security requirements, and specific agency procedures.
Archive training records, maintain attendee logs, and document follow-up actions for compliance programs.
Deliver excellent internal support with a strong commitment to service, professionalism, and clear communication.
Always maintain safety standards, including personal protective equipment (PPE) use and adherence to site safety guidelines and transportation protocols.
Perform duties respectfully, courteously, and in accordance with organizational and federal standards.
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support evolving needs and initiatives.
Export Control Analyst Background Profile:
An associate degree combined with at least 5 years of experience in roles with increasing responsibility.
Working knowledge of international trade regulations, particularly those related to export classification and documentation (e.g., ITAR and EAR).
Familiarity with trade compliance ethics, export licensing practices, and controlled technology management.
Competency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook), and the ability to quickly learn and apply new software or database systems.
An understanding of the procedures associated with export control documentation and administrative practices.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindsetâable to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
A commitment to safety, professionalism, and high-quality work in all tasks and interactions.

Job Requirements
Must have- 5 years in an export role with experience in ITAR, EAR, and documentation related to export compliance and trade ethics.

Certification as a United States Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO) and Secret Clearance
