Job Description
Our client in Phoenix Arizona is seeking an HR Audit Assistant on a contract basis.

HR Audit Assistant Role:
The HR Audit Assistant will support internal audits of employee files and records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR compliance standards, excellent organizational skills and hands on experience with platforms like ADP and TotalSource.
Conduct comprehensive audits of employee personnel files paper and digital to ensure accuracy and completeness
Verify documentation for licensure, certifications, training, evaluations, and disciplinary records
Identify and flag missing or outdated documents; follow up to collect required information
Scan, upload, and organize documents in ADP TotalSource and internal digital systems
Maintain audit logs, checklists, and trackers related to HR compliance and staff credentialing
Support HR team in preparing for external audits or surveys
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee data in accordance with HIPAA
Provide regular updates to HR leadership on audit status and outstanding items
Collaborate with HR team to implement improvements to document management processes
Assist with additional administrative HR tasks as needed
HR Audit Assistant Background Profile:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR administration, preferably in the healthcare industry
Experience performing file audits, document reconciliation, and compliance reviews
Associateâs or Bachelorâs degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
SHRM-CP or other HR certification preferred
Experience with ADP TotalSource and HRIS platforms strongly preferred
Working knowledge of employment laws and healthcare-specific compliance standards
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook and document scanning tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
