What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting the practice of pharmacy under a licensed pharmacist’s supervision
- Handling prescription processing, inventory management, customer service, and compliance tasks
- Working closely with pharmacists to ensure efficient and accurate prescription processing
- Assisting in prescription dispensing, addressing customer inquiries, and managing cash transactions
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals, pharmacy staff, and insurance carriers
- Maintaining accurate records of prescriptions, inventory, and sales
- Providing exceptional customer service and promoting a positive pharmacy experience
- Handling cash transactions accurately and maintaining accountability for financial transactions
- Obtaining refill authorizations and troubleshooting insurance claims questions
- Adhering to procedures for quality assurance, cost containment, and security of controlled substances
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician CPhT through the Colorado State Board of Pharmacy
- A knack for providing exceptional customer service with professionalism and courtesy
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription processing and documentation
- Effective communication skills for interactions with various stakeholders
- Proficient computer skills for processing prescription orders
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Familiarity with prescription terminology, drug names, and calculations
