Role of IT Service Delivery Specialist:
As the Desktop Support Specialist, your main gig will be to provide on-site support to end-users for standard applications and systems, all while making sure everyone is happy with the service and that you stick to the Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You'll be resolving incidents or passing them on to the right team when needed. This role puts you in the Global IT squad, where you'll team up with folks from Houston, Galveston, and around the world.
You might have to shuffle between Houston and Galveston offices based on where the support action is at.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Offering on-site or remote support for standard IT services and applications
- Setting up, fixing, and dealing with hardware like desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Supporting conferencing equipment and software such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
- Sticking to IT processes for incident and request management, including logging, tracking, and sorting out tickets
- Keeping an eye on the asset inventory and making sure hardware is managed properly
- Being in line with IT policies and procedures, especially security and data privacy standards
- Jumping into local and global IT projects as needed
- Raising issues when required and making sure they get sorted
- Assisting with onboarding and offboarding tasks, like setting up and taking back equipment
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
- At least 5 years of IT support experience, ideally in a multinational setup
- Familiarity with SQL-based applications
- Good grasp of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common enterprise apps
- Experience with ITSM tools and ticketing systems
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and remote access tools
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a knack for customer service
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently
- Openness to occasional local or regional travel
