Legal Secretary Role:
The Legal Secretary will support 2â3 litigation attorneys with day-to-day legal and administrative tasks. This position is ideal for someone with deep experience in litigation support who can manage multiple deadlines, prioritize effectively, and work proactively in a fast-paced setting. The Legal Secretary will handle court filings, calendaring, travel coordination, and time entry, all while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Prepare and e-file legal documents in state and federal courts
Draft correspondence and assist in preparing pleadings, discovery, and motions
Maintain attorney calendars, including court dates, meetings, and deadlines
Set up and manage client files, including electronic filing systems
Coordinate attorney travel arrangements and handle last-minute changes
Process attorney time entries and coordinate with billing for client invoicing
Provide general administrative support to assigned attorneys
Legal Secretary Background Profile:
Bachelorâs degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of recent experience as a Legal Secretary in a litigation firm
Proficient with federal and Texas state court e-filing systems (e.g., PACER, eFileTexas)
Strong attention to detail, time management, and multi-tasking skills
Excellent verbal, written, and proofreading abilities
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat
Experience with iManage and Elite Time is highly preferred
