Our client in York, PA has an immediate opening for a Pharmacist on a direct-hire basis.

Pharmacist Role:
As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy department by working closely with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure efficient inventory management, precise prescription filling, patient counseling, immunizations, and maintaining high standards of customer service. You will be responsible for assisting in the management of pharmacy associates, training and development, controlling expenses, and promoting a safe and clean working environment.
Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to monitor weekly sales and inventory levels.
Order pharmaceutical stock as needed to meet customer demand and maximize profits.
Weigh, measure, mix drugs, and fill prescriptions accurately.
Provide advice to self-medicating patients.
Dispense non-prescription medications.
Maintain open communication with health and insurance professionals.
Perform patient immunizations regularly.
Schedule pharmacy associates effectively.
Recognize and reward performance.
Implement necessary disciplinary actions.
Assign work to optimize skills and abilities while meeting profit objectives.
Assist the Pharmacy Manager in training and developing department personnel.
Foster continuous improvement, reduce turnover, and control labor costs.
Monitor and enhance department operations to control expenses.
Ensure labor goals are met.
Reduce losses due to shrink.
Address customer complaints and questions efficiently and courteously.
Provide effective counseling on prescription-related issues.
Identify areas for improving customer service and collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to make necessary improvements.
Support the Pharmacy Manager in maintaining a safe and clean department.
Implement an effective housekeeping program to meet company, health department, and OSHA standards.
Maintain appropriate department records and files, including associate performance, discipline, and sales plans.
Submit required pharmacy reports documenting department activities.
Collaborate with co-workers and superiors to ensure smooth department and store operations.
Continuously seek ways to improve job performance.
Assist and perform the duties of pharmacy staff as required.
Pharmacist Background Profile:
Advanced knowledge of pharmacy department operations.
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree required.
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification required.
Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
