Talent Acquisition Specialist Role:
Execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract, assess, and hire top talent aligned with organizational goals
Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts for construction and skilled trades rolesâincluding job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, and offer coordination
Utilize LinkedIn Talent Solutions and other sourcing platforms to proactively identify and engage high-quality candidates
Collaborate closely with hiring managers and project leaders to define staffing needs, create job descriptions, and establish hiring benchmarks
Build and maintain a steady pipeline of candidates through social media, networking, trade school partnerships, and participation in industry events.
Coordinate and attend recruiting events such as career fairs, community outreach programs, and trade school visits
Facilitate weekly new hire orientation sessions and manage all onboarding processes including completion of drug tests, physicals, safety training, and required documentation
Oversee pre-employment screenings including background checks and certifications to ensure compliance with internal policies
Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), recruitment dashboards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Serve as the main point of contact for candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive experience
Support ongoing improvements in recruiting strategies based on workforce needs and market trends
Manage the recruiting email inbox and assist with general HR inquiries as needed
Coordinate with payroll and other internal departments to ensure seamless hiring transitions
Assist in the transition and implementation process as the company moves from Cyber Recruiter to the new Vista HR platform
Talent Acquisition Specialist Background Profile:
Proven experience managing full-cycle recruitment, ideally within construction, skilled trades, or related industries
Proficiency with LinkedIn Talent Solutions and ATS platforms; experience with Cyber Recruiter or Vista is a plus
Strong sourcing skills and familiarity with modern recruiting tools, techniques, and platforms
Ability to build relationships with schools, training programs, and industry organizations to develop candidate pipelines
Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple requisitions while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Familiarity with employment laws, pre-employment screening, and onboarding compliance practices
Comfortable facilitating orientations and working cross-functionally with HR and payroll teams
Willingness to participate in recruitment events and represent the company externally
Experience or interest in supporting HRIS implementation projects is a plus
