Join our staffing agency client, a prestigious law firm, as a Tax Planning Legal Assistant in Dallas, TX! Tax Planning Legal Assistant Role:
As the Tax Planning Legal Assistant, you will provide legal administrative support to attorneys and peers within the tax planning section.Â
The role focuses on preparing and revising legal documents, correspondence, and tax planning forms such as wills, trusts, partnership agreements, and ownership flowcharts. You will manage calendars, coordinate travel, organize files, and ensure efficient communication internally and with clients.Â
Your responsibilities will include transcribing dictation, proofreading, answering and directing calls, setting up conference calls, maintaining client files, and assisting with attorney time entries.Â
The Tax Planning Legal Assistant position demands high attention to detail, the ability to multitask effectively, and strong collaboration skills in a fast-paced law firm environment.
Tax Planning Legal Assistant Background Profile:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of legal assistant experience, preferably in tax planning.Â
You should possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience drafting wills, trusts, and tax planning documents is essential.Â
Candidates must be able to type at least 80 words per minute and demonstrate excellent grammar, proofreading, and organizational skills.Â
Proficiency in e-filing documents in both Federal and State courts is expected.Â
This role requires someone who is a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities and occasional overtime.
Tax Planning Legal Assistant Features and Benefits:
This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The firm provides medical, dental, and vision insurance through United Health Care, with firm-paid life insurance and long-term disability coverage. Additional voluntary life and vision plans are available. Employees receive a $100 monthly parking or public transit stipend.
