Job Description
3D Mechanical Drafter
Our client located in Sugar Land, TX has an immediate need for a 3D Mechanical Drafter for a ten week project, possibly longer.

3D Mechanical Drafter Role:
Revise, update, and prepare 3D models using Autodesk Inventor to support ongoing product engineering and seismic equipment design.
Manage model versions and drawing updates through Autodesk Vault, including check-out/check-in and file integrity verification.
Update and maintain Bills of Materials (BoMs) within the PLM system; training on Infor 10 will be provided if not previously used.
Prepare, complete, and manage ECN and BoM documentation required for releasing new or revised drawings across INOVAâs product lines.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and product development teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of seismic equipment documentation.
Support version control processes and maintain organized documentation for global manufacturing and field service teams.
Ensure all models and drawings adhere to INOVA design standards, product specifications, and release requirements.
3D Mechanical Drafter Background Profile:
Required Skills
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor for revising and updating 3D models.
Experience using Autodesk Vault for model lifecycle management (check-out/check-in, version control).
Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and apply precise updates.
Background supporting drafting or design within engineering or manufacturing environments.
Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and organizational skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience with PLM Infor 10 for BoM creation and revision updates.
Familiarity with Engineering Change Notice (ECN) workflows, BoM structures, and release documentation.
Experience supporting electromechanical, heavy equipment, or industrial product design environments.
