Job Description
Join our team as an Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist with expertise in progress billing and QuickBooks! We are working with a reputable company based in Carrollton, Texas, in search of a meticulous professional to oversee AP, AR, and Payroll functions in a cozy, family-owned office environment on a contract-to-hire basis.
Company Overview:
- Established small office with a tenure of over 20 years
- Specializing in the construction industry
Role: Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Receivable procedures
- Ensure accurate and timely handling of progress billing obligations
- Process payroll for a workforce of around 25 employees with varying pay structures
- Cultivate and sustain positive vendor relationships, addressing queries regarding invoices and payments through outbound calls
- Participate in generating financial reports and contribute to month-end closure activities
- Provide support to management through miscellaneous accounting projects and operational necessities
- Utilize QuickBooks Online for day-to-day accounting responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, exhibiting a friendly, professional, and mature attitude
- Efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and evolving organizational environment
Requirements for the Role:
- 3–5+ years of Accounts Payable and Receivable experience
- Prior exposure to the construction or consumer electrical sectors is highly desired
- Sound knowledge of progress billing processes
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is a must
- Experience in processing various types of payroll (hourly, salary, commission)
- Skilled in vendor communication via phone and email
- Exceptionally organized, accurate, and adept at managing competing priorities
