Accounting Specialist
Job Description
Seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist for a temporary or contract-to-hire role in the energy and infrastructure industry. This position based in The Woodlands, Texas requires hands-on support for multi-entity accounting operations, month-end close, and internal reporting within a dynamic and growing organization.

Accounting Specialist Role:
- Assist the Controller in maintaining accurate financial records and daily accounting operations
- Manage general ledger activity, vendor payables, customer receivables, and employee expenses
- Support month-end close activities and prepare internal financial reports
- Track CAPEX, manage intercompany allocations, and prepare financial reports
- Review expense submissions, ensure compliance, and maintain audit documentation
- Collaborate on cash flow analysis, budgeting, and financial planning
Accounting Specialist Background Profile:
- 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in energy, infrastructure, or project-based industries
- Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Expensify or similar expense management software
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA track or certification a plus
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
