Our client in Rochelle Park, NJ, is currently seeking a talented Bakery Merchandiser for a direct-hire position.

Role Overview:
The Bakery Merchandiser plays a crucial role in enhancing the visual presentation, freshness, and strategic positioning of bakery products in various retail locations. This position requires a blend of creative flair and analytical skills to drive sales, maintain brand integrity, and elevate the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain visually appealing and well-stocked bakery displays in line with brand standards and seasonal themes
- Monitor product quality and freshness on an ongoing basis
- Collaborate with store management and bakery teams to devise product placement, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns
- Analyze sales data, manage inventory levels, and understand customer preferences to inform merchandising strategies
- Coordinate the rollout of new products, promotions, and seasonal initiatives
- Ensure adherence to food safety protocols and store cleanliness standards
- Provide valuable insights to leadership based on customer behavior trends and competitor activities
- Train in-store bakery staff on display maintenance and effective execution of promotions
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of bakery merchandising experience
- Strong organizational and visual merchandising skills
- Effective communication and time management abilities
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexibility to travel between store locations as needed
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and holidays for promotional events
