Job Description
Position: Chief Financial Officer
Our client, located in Denver, CO, is currently in search of a seasoned Chief Financial Officer for a full-time, direct-hire position.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all corporate finance, accounting, and financial operations.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, capital management, and compliance.
- Develop financial models and KPIs to drive decision-making.
- Advise on capital structure, M&A, and investment strategies.
- Monitor performance metrics and identify growth opportunities.
- Supervise accounting operations, monthly closings, and audits.
- Ensure financial statements compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
- Develop financial policies for effective treasury operations.
- Oversee risk assessment, insurance, and compliance frameworks.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance financial literacy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Proven track record as a CFO or senior finance executive.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, corporate finance, and budget management.
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and leadership skills.
- Experience in retail, multi-location operations, or high-growth environments.
- Background in leading ERP implementations or finance system transformations.
