Client Accounting Specialist
Our client located in Richardson, TX is in need of a Client Accounting Specialist. This is a hybrid direct hire opportunity.

Client Accounting Specialist Role:
The Client Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing the complete bookkeeping and accounting functions for a portfolio of small and mid sized business clients. This position requires strong accounting knowledge, exceptional organization, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements while delivering accurate financial reporting and outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
Manage bookkeeping and accounting for multiple business clients.
Maintain accurate general ledgers and financial records.
Record daily financial transactions.
Perform monthly bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare customer invoices and monitor collections.
Record payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll reports.
Prepare adjusting journal entries.
Complete month end and year end closing procedures.
Prepare monthly financial statements including: Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, Cash Flow Statement.
Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
Prepare sales tax returns and reconcile sales tax accounts.
Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Assist clients with accounting questions and software support.
Maintain organized electronic client files.
Communicate with clients regarding missing information and outstanding items.
Support senior accountants with year end tax preparation by ensuring books are complete and accurate.
Identify opportunities to improve client accounting processes and internal controls.
Perform bookkeeping cleanup projects for new clients.
Client Accounting Specialist Background Profile:
Required
3 to 7+ years of full charge bookkeeping experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with Microsoft Outlook.
Strong reconciliation and problem solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Customer focused with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
Preferred
Public accounting or CPA firm experience.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop.
Experience with Bill.com or similar accounts payable software.
Experience with Canopy or another practice management system.

Job Requirements
5 years of Bookkeeping, Ideally have experience managing multiple company files, Must have QuickBooks Online experience, Must have prior knowledge of filing sales tax reports, 940, 941 and W-2 and 1099 processing
