Financial Controller

Location: Brookshire, TX

Role Overview:

• Oversee the full accounting function and ensure financial accuracy in a growing and fast-paced organization
• Manage the general ledger and chart of accounts
• Supervise accounts payable, payment cycles, and bank reconciliations
• Review cost variances, investigate anomalies, and suggest corrective actions
• Support tax preparation and filing activities
• Prepare financial reports and assist in audit-related tasks
• Evaluate and enhance accounting processes for efficiency
• Collaborate with leadership to implement financial controls and best practices
• Work closely with different departments to ensure financial accuracy

Background Profile:

• 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience (7-10 years preferred)
• Proficient in Job Costing, GAAP, and general accounting operations
• Experience in AP, bank reconciliations, and cost analysis
• Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is advantageous
• Knowledge of accounting systems with QuickBooks Online expertise preferred
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills and a proactive attitude
