EHS Director
Our client located in Louisville, Kentucky is adding an EHS Director to their team. This is a direct hire opportunity. Alternate home site locations are an option.

EHS Director Role:
The EHS Director leads safety strategy and execution across multiple manufacturing sites.
This role is responsible for driving culture change, regulatory compliance, and operational safety performance while influencing both site leadership and executive stakeholders.
Develop and execute EHS strategy across multiple sites
Establish and drive KPIs related to incident reduction and risk mitigation
Lead and influence site-level EHS teams (dotted-line leadership)
Travel regularly to sites to coach teams and assess risk firsthand
Drive behavior-based safety initiatives and culture transformation
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and regulatory standards
Oversee incident investigations and root cause analysis
Partner with plant leadership to integrate safety into operations
EHS Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing
Proven multi-site leadership experience
Strong background working in union environments
Experience in both heavy industrial and manufacturing/CPG settings
Demonstrated success driving safety culture change
Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills
Certifications such as CSP or CIH preferred
Willing to travel 50% of the time
