Our client located in Louisville, Kentucky is adding an EHS Engineer to their team. This is a direct hire opportunity.

EHS Engineer Role:
The EHS Engineer supports safety initiatives within a large, complex manufacturing facility. This role is highly focused on safety execution, project ownership, and frontline engagement, with a strong presence on the production floor.
Lead safety projects from initiation through completion
Conduct risk assessments with focus on ergonomics and equipment interaction
Manage and support workers’ compensation cases and OSHA recordability
Partner with operations to improve pedestrian and mobile equipment safety
Perform safety audits, observations, and incident investigations
Support and rotate through new hire safety training
Track and manage safety data through EHS systems
Build relationships with frontline employees and supervisors to drive safety culture
EHS Engineer Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
3–7+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong focus on health & safety over environmental
Experience managing projects independently from start to finish
Knowledge of workers’ compensation and OSHA recordkeeping
Comfortable working in a union environment
Experience with EHS systems (e.g., Gensuite) and ergonomic tools is a plus
Strong communication and ability to influence frontline teams
