Events Technical Manager
This position involves managing technical aspects of events and is located in Washington D.C. It is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a well-established faith-based organization. The Events Technical Manager will oversee production and event operations to ensure exceptional experiences for attendees.

Events Technical Manager Responsibilities:
- Supervise production and event operations for events held by a religious organization
- Schedule and coordinate production staff year-round for event coverage
- Manage event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and ensure cost-effective operations
- Develop and implement workflow policies and procedures to enhance efficiency while maintaining safety and quality
- Provide technical support when necessary in roles such as Audio Engineer, Lighting Technician, Stage Manager, and more
- Collaborate with Event Coordinators, facilities, security teams, and internal stakeholders
- Determine technical requirements for events and oversee technical aspects during rehearsals and operations
- Maintain safety standards in event spaces and suggest improvements as needed
- Interact professionally with VIPs, donors, talent, and guests
Events Technical Manager Requirements:
- B.A. or B.F.A. in Theater Studies, Technical Production, or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in theater or live event technical production
- Previous supervisory experience and ability to manage team performance
- Proficiency in audio, lighting, video, stage, and live/streaming events
- Knowledge of industry-standard technical equipment and IT/networking principles
- Experience in managing contracts related to live events
- Familiarity with facility maintenance and safety procedures
- Ability to handle operational and technical challenges effectively
- Decision-making skills regarding event feasibility and budget
- Alignment with the mission and values of a faith-based organization
