Our client seeking an experienced Legal Assistant on a contract to posible hire basis in Nashville,TN. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy legal team and support attorneys with case preparation, discovery, and court filings.

Legal Assistant Role:
As a Legal Assistant, you will provide direct support to attorneys and play a vital role in case preparation and litigation support. This position offers exposure to complex cases, tight deadlines, and opportunities to further strengthen your legal support skills.
Supporting case preparation and trial readiness
Drafting correspondence, pleadings, discovery, deposition summaries, settlement documents, notices, motions, subpoenas, reports, budgets, and workersâ comp settlements
Organizing and summarizing medical records
Scheduling depositions, hearings, client conferences, expert witnesses, court reporters, couriers, and mediations
Performing electronic filing in County, Circuit, and Federal Courts
Assisting attorneys in collecting employment, medical, and other records
Establishing and organizing case files
Maintaining attorney calendars and schedules
Legal Assistant Background Profile:
Minimum Associate degree or equivalent preferred
At least 3 years of recent Legal Assistant experience
Insurance defense background a plus
Proficiency with billing and case management software
Strong skills in Microsoft Office and legal software systems
Excellent written and oral communication, organizational abilities, and proven dependability
