Litigation Paralegal
Our client based in Houston, Texas is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join their team on a full-time basis.
Company Overview:
A reputable Legal Firm with a strong presence across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in intricate litigation cases, specializing in eDiscovery, trial preparation, and litigation technology.
- Develop and implement strategies for document collection, review, and production in conjunction with legal counsel.
- Collaborate with clients and external vendors on electronic discovery activities, including data imaging and analysis from various electronic sources.
- Establish and manage eDiscovery databases for efficient document review and production.
- Handle loading, organization, and quality assurance of client and third-party documents, addressing any errors and ensuring proper formatting.
- Prepare privilege logs and oversee document productions to guarantee accuracy, responsiveness, and compliance with privilege laws.
- Create and maintain OnCue trial presentation databases.
- Offer technical support and present evidence during trial proceedings.
- Organize and oversee case materials throughout the litigation process.
- Provide technical and project assistance during case intake and ongoing matters.
- Keep abreast of developments in litigation support tools and eDiscovery best practices through a minimum of 6 hours of continuing education annually.
- Review and process vendor invoices associated with eDiscovery services.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation support or paralegal roles, with a focus on eDiscovery and trial assistance.
- Demonstrated expertise in supporting trial teams and managing trial technology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience with litigation support software and database tools.
- Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-centered environment.
- Preferred: Paralegal certificate and/or degree in Paralegal Studies.
