Logistics Manager
Our client based in the Dallas Fort Worth Metro area is seeking a skilled Logistics Manager to join their team on a direct hire basis.
Role Overview:
- Develop and execute logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer service strategies
- Implement processes to streamline product flow and reduce expenses
- Manage end-to-end order cycle activities
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, quality, and safety protocols
- Supervise shipping operations, negotiate freight rates, and address transportation challenges
- Optimize raw material scheduling to support production efficiency and cost control
- Enforce transportation regulations, especially regarding hazardous materials
- Oversee vehicle upkeep and company driver activities
- Monitor departmental budgets and analyze supply chain costs for enhanced financial performance
- Set performance goals for logistics teams and oversee personnel development processes
- Establish efficient workflow policies while upholding product standards
- Track operational data for reporting and ensure equipment productivity
- Directly manage staff, including supervisors and coordinators
- Perform other duties as necessary to support operational objectives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of logistics and shipping experience
- Prior managerial or supervisory experience
- Thorough knowledge of logistics functions and operations
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and their application in logistics
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, delegation, conflict resolution, motivational, and team-building skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and self-motivation abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and staff management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
- Ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced environments
- Understanding of DOT and FMCSR regulations

Job Requirements
