Property Accountant
Our Dallas-based real estate client is looking for a Property Accountant to add to their team on a direct hire basis.
Company Profile:

The firm owns and operates student housing communities located in the country's top university markets.
Property Accountant Role:
Support the Vice President with execution of property-level financials for student housing assets
Prepare timely and accurate financial statements
Perform full-cycle accounting
Accounts payable processing
Journal entries
Monthly accruals and amortizations
Balance sheet reconciliations
Manage accounting for multiple student housing properties
Assist with preparation of annual budgets
Review monthly charges, Gross Potential Rent reports, and other AR balances
Calculate and process monthly property management fees
Prepare month-end reporting packages and analyze budget-to-actual variances
Prepare annual work papers and reconciliations for year-end tax returns and audits
Support cash flow analyses and address property manager inquiries
Property Accountant Background Profile:
Bachelorâs degree in Accounting
1â5 years of real estate property-level, accrual-basis accounting experience
Student housing or multifamily property accounting experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Entrata, MRI, and/or Yardi software preferred
Strong technical aptitude with analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented, coachable, enthusiastic, flexible, and creative
