Project Manager Role:
The Project Manager will oversee roadway and bridge construction projects from planning through completion, working closely with field teams, vendors, and leadership to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities Include:
Reading plans and coordinating vendors, subcontractors, and crews
Managing project costs, cost coding, invoices, and job costing
Tracking labor efficiency and project performance
Managing change orders and project documentation
Attending jobsite and team meetings
Ordering materials and supplies
Overseeing construction methods and ensuring work aligns with project specifications
Working closely with the Project Engineer and Site Superintendent to manage daily operations
Project Manager Background Profile:
3–5+ years of highway and/or bridge construction project management experience
DOT project experience strongly preferred
Design-build project exposure is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
Strong understanding of construction management principles and field operations
Ability to work in both office and field environments
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
