Senior Accounting Manager
Our client located in Houston, Texas is adding a Senior Accounting Manager to their team. They are seeking a high-accountability individual to scale their accounting function supporting energy transition, sustainability, new technologies, and value creation through diverse subsidiaries. This is a hybrid, direct-hire opportunity.

Senior Accounting Manager Role:
The Senior Accounting Manager oversees financial operations, reporting, and compliance for the U.S. holding company and its consolidated subsidiaries. This role ensures accuracy in financial records, timely reporting, and adherence to corporate and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison for audits, tax processes, and group finance activities while providing leadership within the finance team.
Manage cash accounts across multiple banking institutions and approve wire transfers, ACH transactions, deposits, and withdrawals
Prepare monthly stand-alone financial results using QuickBooks and manage SAP monthly close activities
Maintain fixed asset and lease asset schedules; record journal entries
Prepare intercompany billing for internal third-party companies
Manage quarterly and annual plans and forecasts in the DIVA reporting system
Coordinate group consolidation submissions and respond to parent company inquiries
Oversee consolidated financial statement audit coordination
Manage tax-sharing collections and payments
Support external audits and respond to internal audit requests
Manage Investment Committee processes and documentation; perform quarterly self-check analysis
Provide outsourced accounting support to subsidiaries including journal entries, consolidation reporting, and audit coordination
Oversee one direct report after transition phase
Senior Accounting Manager Background Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
CPA
Energy industry highly preferred
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
IFRS a strong plus
Experience with financial close processes, account reconciliation, and consolidation accounting
Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with audit processes and internal controls
Experience in multicultural or complex organizational environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High integrity, professionalism, and discretion
Previous management experience preferred
